The positive of these seeds is that my bird is a fiend for them... he absolutely loves them. I feel good about giving him an organic blend with no dyes or added color. That being said, we're going through about double the amount of food we were giving him because he loves it so much! His feathers are in much better condition than the last pet store-found seeds we were buying (supposed premium seeds, but my bird's feathers were looking scraggly, and he takes excellent care of himself, so it must have been lack of nutrition). His color even seems more vibrant, if that were possible.
I will definitely continue to buy these seeds. We originally used FantaSeeds, but after the discontinuation of those seeds, this is the best alternative I've found. I only wish it were packaged in the type of container that FantaSeeds used to be (a plastic one with a lid). However, I can probably find something that will do instead of the bag, which is kind of hard to pour from and doesn't seal back up well due to seeds getting in it. This is not a problem with the seeds, though, and virtually any type of seeds you get have this same type of packaging.
Bottom line: buy these seeds if you want good nutrition and a happy budgie!

Is that a mistakeI sure hope that is a mistake, and most importantly, I hope NO ONE bought it at that price

After switching my parrot's diet from a seed mix to Harrison's pellets as per my vet's instructions, My parrot's health has improved. It will provide all your parrot's nutrition's needs (don't forget the fresh fruits and veggies though!)

My avian vet recommended Harrison's after my Congo Grey fell ill. I also have a Timneh Grey and they both love it. Unlike other pellets I had tried, they both took to it right away. My vet said it would take a few weeks to wean them off of their primarily seed diet, but it only took a few days. I was shocked.
Needless to say, I enthusiastically recommend this product!

There is not much in terms of large nuts. Well, there are peanuts but those aren't so nutritious. There could be about 200 percent more whole almonds. I thought no sunflower seeds would mean a better quality of expensive nuts. Was I wrong. This is not good food for macaws or hookbills. The best of the best is Kaytees Fiesta for Macaws. A human could live on that stuff.

I have three 'tiels,and one ornery Senegal.I feed them all Harrison's."Coarse" for my Senegal,and "Fine" for the 'tiels.They all love Harrison's,and I don't have to worry about any of them not getting a complete and appropriate diet.They are all very healthy,and none of them are overweight,a common problem for parrots if given a seed diet.
In addition to the Harrison's,I supplement their diet with sweet potato slices;peppers,etc.
All-in-all,Harrison's is,IMHO,the very best food out there for your feathered buddies.

Item arrived longer than expected (same time I order another kind of parrot food supposing same place and that one showed up next day)
But still Harrison is the best parrot food.And big chunks keep birds more busy, they like that size.

Perfect Parrot is for the larger species, which I own and feed daily. Contains everything needed for health, you need not feed pellet's or vitamins when feeding this food.In fact DON'T.
Most birds will eat this from day one.Alot of varity.

Great mix of both seed and dried fruit. My African Grey is diving in and eating every banana, nut, and seed.

Excellent food! Owner of this Canadian company came to speak at our Long Island Parrot Society. I was really impressed at the science that goes into the manufacture of this food. Samples were given out........my bird loves it, and it is really healthy and natural.

My baby African Grey loves this stuff. She was hand-fed by syringe once nightly when I got her. She took to the Hagen very nicely. It has a fruity smell to it. Just be sure to mix it in with other items for your parrot to eat. Always use moderation.

My Eclectus loves this food, enough so that I keep buying it, but I sure wish it was a bit less brittle. Shatters and goes everywhere - which makes it pretty expensive to feed as the primary food. Still, good content and he likes it, which keeps him quiet as long as there's still some in the bowl!

I can't imagine what typo the customer who gave one star was relying on. There is also a 25 lb bag and maybe the price they saw was for that. My birds love this stuff and my only regret is that some parts (being selective) they waste, but that is classic for birds. They are picky. I give the wasted parts to the wild birds outside.

I think this bag of food is great. Although, fare warning, it has lots and LOTS of sunflower seeds in it. I was expecting more of the colorful safflower seeds (because that's supposed to be healthier than regular sunflower seeds). So if you want a bag full of MAINLY sunflower seeds and just a few of other things (such as safflower seeds, chili peppers, peanut in shells, etc) this is the perfect bag for your bird!

I have 2 McCaws named Luigi and Caesar and they will be 10 years old this summer. I have tried all kinds of food and some they like and some they don't like but they really seem to love this Brown's Supreme MaCaw/parrot mix because it is loaded with all kinds of good stuff. It is expensive so I do mix Brown's Supreme mix with other mixes and the McCaws seem to enjoy everything. I do notice that they do pick out the Brown's food before they eat the other food and that is why I rated this a 5. Actually, my McCaws rated Brown's and not me.
